The core function of this position is to gain experience in the business behind running a digital media company. Skills to be developed during the internship include social media marketing, ad operations, sales, leadership development and other tasks as needed. This is a 40 hr/week, 12 week internship opportunity.
Work with Ad Ops team to drive revenue through pageviews
Facilitate a competitive real time bidding (RTB) between networks
Cultivate the digital environment to encourage users to consume more content.
Interpret analytics to optimize display output across multiple verticals and channels
Learn basic accounting principals required for running a company
Work with accounting dept to process payroll for company
Process expense reports
Collaborate with creative team to make engaging visuals
Work with editorial team to increase user engagement and provide for a richer user experience (UX).
Analyze data and reports collected from internal and external sources
Content Affiliate Network (CAN)
Learn about how to handle partner relations.
Utilize Facebook Business Manager.
Work and experience Google Analytics
Classes in finance, accounting, marketing or basic business
Exceptional written communication skills
News Junkie - interest in current events and reporting
Team player with excellent interpersonal/ collaboration skills
Experience with WordPress or other CMS a plus
If pursuing a Bachelor’s degree:
Junior or Senior standing
2.0 GPA or higher
